Torrid.com  specializes in plus size fashions for teens and young women.  They have a line of clothing that they refer to as "Dressy". However, we feel that these styles are more appropriate for clubbing and casual social affairs, but perhaps we're a little "old fashioned" in our tastes! 

Several of the dresses might be OK for a prom, but we also recommend that you take a look at IGIGI's formal gowns for something a little more grown up. But when it comes to daring and bold fashions for young plus size women, Torrid is definitely the place to be!
