Plus Size Swimsuits Delta Burke Plus Size Swimwear is an
extremely popular line of plus size swimwear. It's really no wonder
since the founder is none other than that "Designing Woman", Delta
Burke. Delta Burke struggled for years with her weight as well as her
body image. As a type II diabetes sufferer, her weight has
been
difficult to control. After many years of struggle Delta Burke has made
peace with her plus size figure.
As the founder of
her own plus size fashion company, Delta has been able to bring her own
personal experience with being a full-figured woman to her clothing and
swimwear designs. Attention to slimming techniques such as color
blocking and slimming stripes along the sides of many of her suits are
evidence of her plus size fashion sense. Many Delta Burke swimsuits
have A-Line cuts to further accentuate the slimming effect. The
beautiful pastel colors in the Delta Burke Swim Collection are a
hallmark of her swimwear designs.
Delta Burke
swimwear does not overlook important comfort features. Many Delta Burke
swimsuits are completely lined with control netting for a
feeling of total support. Soft cups in the bra provide important
comfort up
top. The fabrics used in Delta Burke swimwear are blended to provide
both
stretch as well as to be fast-drying.
Delta
Burke swimwear is perhaps best known for its great plus size
swimdresses and tankinis. These styles are extremely comfortable and
also work brilliantly on fuller figures. Add in the luscious colors and
patterns, and these swim fashions are second to none!
Recent
TV spots featuring plus size fashions have showcased the Delta Burke
Swim Collection. Viewers of all shapes and sizes have been amazed at
the beauty and variety of Delta Burke swimwear. Gone forever are the
days when a plus size woman had little choice but to wear a 1920s style
bathing suit. A new day has dawned for plus size fashion and Delta
Burke is leading the way.
After all, the
Delta Burke swimwear slogan is:
"It is plus size swimwear,

other types of women's clothing, plus size swimwear sizes vary by
designer and even among styles from the same designer. The important
thing to remember is to take careful measurements and compare them to
the designer's sizing charts.
Use a cloth tape measure and take the following measurements:
- Torso
- this measurement should not be confused with bust measurement. It is
the depth of your upper body, from the shoulder, down across your bust,
and up through your legs and across your back. You will definitely need
someone to assist you with taking this measurement.. Begin by holding
the tape measurement at your shoulder and let it drop down over your
back. Then reach between your legs and bring the tape up across the
fullest part of your bust. Record your torso measurement.
- Bust - with the tape measure parallel to the floor, measure the fullest part of your bust.
- Waist - stand straight up and measure around the natural crease of your waist.
- Hips - stand with your heels together and measure around the fullest part of your waist, about 7-8" from your natural waist.
For
Delta Burke styles, a size 16W is a torso of 65-66 1/2", hips 43-44
1/2", waist 32 1/2 - 34", bust 40 1/2 - 42", cup size 36D. As a general
guide, if any of your measurements are larger than a size in the sizing
charts, it's best to go up one size.Plus Size Swimwear ResourcesAbout Plus Size Swimwear Plus Size Sizing Tips What To Pack For a Cruise Vacation Plus Size Demographics
